The Zulfiya State Prize was established by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated June 10, 1999 "On supporting proposals for the establishment of the Zulfiya State Prize."

   The award is given to talented women who have reached the age of 14 and are under 30 years old, who set an example for their peers with social activity and talent, for their achievements in education and work.

  Candidates will be selected through competitions in 8 areas - science, education, literature, culture, art, sports, information technology and public activities.

   Selection of candidates suitable for each position in the directions is carried out in the following stages:

- district (city) stage - from September 2 to October 20;

- The stage of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions and the city of Tashkent - from October 21 to November 30;

- republican stage - from December 1 to December 31.

   The prize is awarded annually to 2 representatives of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions and the city of Tashkent - a total of 28 applicants. The award winners are awarded a diploma, a badge and a cash prize in the amount of 50 BCAs annually on the eve of March 8 - International Women's Day.

  Award winners are admitted to the bachelor's degree if they are students of general secondary, secondary specialized, professional educational institutions, and to the master's degree if they are students of bachelor's degree without entrance exams in the relevant direction and specialty.

LIST

1. Description of the candidate with a 9x12 cm photo

Aspects to be covered in the description:

- the candidate's surname, first name and patronymic, year, date of birth, nationality (writing on a civil passport or birth certificate);

- official name of the place of study and the class or stage of study of the candidate;

- the direction in which the candidate is recommended;

- the specific field or type of the direction in which the candidate is being recommended (For example: literature - poetry or journalism, culture - public speaking, journalism, screenwriting, sports - rhythmic gymnastics, swimming, tennis, chess, art - fine or applied arts, traditional singing, piano, education - chemistry, mathematics, native language and literature, public activities - entrepreneurship, farming, youth union and others);

- the awarding of achievements in the main direction in the sequence of years, where, by which organization, among whom, under what name, how many places they took and with what they were awarded;

- achievements in areas other than the main one;

- aspects and achievements that reveal leadership abilities, social activity, initiative;

2. Candidate lens

The objective should be written according to the requirements specified in the sample, signed by the heads of the organizational and control group of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the khokimiyats of the regions and the city of Tashkent, as well as the chairpersons of the Women's Committee.

3. Candidate's completed questionnaire and biography

  The questionnaire and the biography must be completed personally by the candidate in clear and beautiful writing.

  The document form should be high-quality, and the information should be accurate. The candidate's address, signature, and phone number must be clearly indicated.

4. Presentation (2 items)

1. Presentation of the Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, khokims of the city of Tashkent and regions;

2. Presentation of the khokim of the recommended district (city).

The submission must be on a colored form, signed, registered and with the main achievements of the candidate.

5. Letter of recommendation (2 items)

1. The recommendation of the head of the institution where the candidate is studying or working;

2. Recommendation of the Chairman of the Regional Council of the Youth Union of Uzbekistan.

6. Description (3 items)

1. Description of the head of the institution where the candidate is studying or working;

2. Description of the Chairman of the Regional Council of the Youth Union of Uzbekistan;

3. Description of the chairman of the citizens' assembly of the mahalla where the candidate lives.

 The description should be signed and sealed, and all the achievements of the candidate should be widely covered.

7. Feedback (4-5)

  Reviews will be received from specialists in the field, such as writers, poets, journalists, cultural workers, art historians, artists, sculptors, scientists, candidates of science, teachers, and sports coaches.

   The opinion must be signed, the number of the certificate and the year of issue must be written if the union or organization is a member (for example, a membership certificate if a member of the Union of Writers or Journalists).

8. Review (1-2 items)

  Review of the candidate's scientific direction and artistic works, examples of fine art must be written by industry experts (reviews are not written for some areas such as sports and so on).

9. List of achievements of the candidate

   Documents such as diplomas, certificates, certificates of honor, etc., confirming achievements over the past 3 years (in some cases, if significant achievements were also achieved in the period before 3 years), should be written sequentially over the years, first in the main direction, and then in the achievements of additional activities.

A candidate's achievements must be at least at the regional level.

10. Copies of documents confirming the achievements of the candidate

  Copies of documents must be placed in the order of the list. The documents must be of high quality, and the writing, seal, and information on them must be clearly visible.

   Translations of documents written in foreign languages must be accompanied by a notary office. It is necessary to pay special attention to the fact that the document was written in the year of issue and was certified as "Precise in Original."

11. Documents on the initiative, promotion, and activity of the candidate

    If the candidate has organized a club in educational institutions or in the mahalla and has attracted young people, a decision and other supporting documents must be submitted.

12. List of the candidate's creative or scientific works published in the media

  In the list, the names of creative or scientific works, information about which newspapers, magazines or publications they have been published, the number of copies must be written in the order of years, in the form of a table.

13. Samples of the candidate's creative or scientific work

  Examples of copies of newspapers and magazines, artistic-scientific books, manuals, disks with transcripts of songs and other significant works related to the candidate's creative or scientific work should be attached (Books must be published in a publishing house, not in the form of computer prints and brochures. Newspapers and magazines that publish candidate's short poems or irrelevant information should not be presented).

14. Conclusion and decision of the Commission

   Must be signed by the members of the regional commission and stored in the republican commission as a separate collection.

15. Resolution of the Working Group

   Must be signed by members of the regional working group or involved experts and stored in the republican commission as a separate collection.

16. Copy of the candidate's civil passport or birth certificate

   The copy of the passport or birth certificate must be of high quality, the inscriptions and seals on it must be clearly visible. 

17. Copy of the civil passport of the candidate's parents.

18. Reference from the place of work of the candidate's parents

   The certificate must be signed by the head of the human resources department and sealed with the full indication of the place of work and the position of the parents.

     The address of the parents must be indicated in the certificate and certified by the chairman of the mahalla with a signature and seal. 

20. Photograph of the candidate

 The candidate's 9x12 cm high quality

- special attention should be paid to the student's presence in official clothing, a white shirt and a black classic suit, without excessive jewelry and colors, the hairstyle is gathered up or to the side, and the background of the photo is light blue.

21. Photos of the candidate's activities (5-6)

   Photo clips can be provided in addition to documents.

Photo captions should only reflect their creative and social activities.

  The selection stage of the Zulfiya State Prize is considered in the following 2 stages:

Stage 1 - familiarization with documents;

Stage 2 - face-to-face conversation and Q&A.
