Overview

The Hague International Law Academy of the Netherlands has announced winter and summer courses for students studying in the field of international law and specialists in this field, such as lawyers, diplomats, lawyers and others. Classes are conducted in English and French and translated synchronously into other languages. Therefore, candidates are required to know one of the English or French languages.

Within the framework of the program, participants have the opportunity to study courses in Public International Law and Private International Law in the field of law. Those who participate in the program through a grant will be able to participate in only one of these courses, while those who participate at their own expense will be able to participate in both. 15% of the places allocated in the program will be allocated for the grant, and the rest for those who participate at their own expense. The cost of accommodation, travel and training will be fully reimbursed to the grant holders. The admission process for summer courses of the program will last from November 1, 2024 to January 31, 2025 (Tashkent time).

Acceptance Terms

To participate in the program, there are the following requirements:

  • Citizens of all countries can participate in the program;
  • Applicants who are at least 3 years old in the field of law or who have graduated from a university and are working in this field can apply for the program. If the candidate has studied at the university for at least 4 years (4th year) in the field of international law, but not in the field of law;
  • Participants are required to be fluent in English or French at an academic level. Because lessons are taught in English and French;
  • The candidate must demonstrate a strong interest in participating in the program in the process of submitting the application form (during writing a motivational letter);
  • Candidates who have already won this grant cannot reapply for the grant;
  • Those who want to participate in the program through a grant can apply only for one of the two courses.

Benefits

The program has the following advantages:

  • The costs of participation in the Program will be paid;
  • The candidate's travel expenses will be covered by the program administration. The cost of travel is allocated to those arriving by train in class 2, and to those arriving by plane in economy class. This amount is 350 euros for citizens of Central Asia, as well as Uzbekistan;
  • Participants' accommodation costs will also be allocated €600 before the start of the course.

Remind me! Participants can participate in the program from their own account or through a grant. For 15% of the participants, a grant will be allocated and the course costs will be fully covered. But those who participate at their own expense will have to pay all the costs themselves. For them, the cost of attending one course will be 1,300 euros, and the cost of attending two courses will be 2,300 euros.

The program includes the following summer courses:

  • The Public International Law course will be held from July 7 to 25, 2025.
  • The Private International Law course will be held from July 28 to August 15, 2025.

To register for the program on a grant basis, the following is required:

  • First of all, it is necessary to familiarize oneself with the terms of the program;
  • Before submitting the application, all documents must be prepared;
  • Copy of passport or ID card;
  • Personal photo;
  • If the candidate is still a student, a certificate of university education shall be requested;
  • If the candidate is working, a certificate of employment is required;
  • The candidate must submit a diploma or a copy of it confirming the academic degree he has received from the university. If the candidate has not yet graduated from the university, a transcription of grades is required;
  • CV (summary);
  • A motivational letter written on a computer, no more than 1.5 pages;
  • Recommendation from a professor of international law. The recommendation should be sent to the e-mail address by the professor who wrote it.

Participants in the program at their own expense are required to:

In the process of applying, it is necessary to pay attention to the following:

  • Registration for the program begins on November 1;
  • An application form that has not been completed by the end is not accepted;
  • The registration process and all e-mail addresses used for the program must be identical;
  • You will be asked to fill out the application form only once online. Applications completed more than once or sent offline are not accepted;
  • In addition to the image, all documents submitted for the application must be in pdf format;
