Articles 15/04/2025 Will a student who wants to transfer be exempted from the exam if they have certificates in the relevant subjects?

Students wishing to transfer or reinstate their studies from foreign higher educational institutions to higher educational institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan must take a special test (in the form of a test, written work, or professional/creative exam, as determined by the commission) in the language of instruction for the admission subjects of the specific educational program at the receiving higher educational institution.

The tests will be conducted in 2 specialized subjects and 3 compulsory subjects. Applicants will be given 30 test tasks for each specialized subject and 10 for each compulsory subject - a total of 90 test tasks - and 3 hours to complete them and transfer the answers to the answer sheet.

If the receiving higher educational institution does not offer instruction in the appropriate language, the choice of the language of instruction is made according to the citizen's application.

Furthermore, according to the press service of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, applicants wishing to transfer their studies are not exempt from the exam in these subjects even if they have internationally recognized or national certificates in the specialized or compulsory subjects.

This is because tests or practical (creative) examinations are conducted to determine the level of mastery of specialized subjects for the purpose of transferring studies.
