Schools 18/02/2025 Karakul Specialized Residential School

Until recently, this school, located in the remote Karakul district of Bukhara, did not have modern conditions and favorable opportunities. However, the unique teaching style and methodology established here have transformed a simple rural school into a renowned educational institution at the republican level.

The school was established in 2009 as a state specialized general education school with in-depth study of certain subjects. In 2014, it was transformed into a specialized state general education boarding school No. 1 with in-depth study of individual subjects, as envisaged by the regional department of public education. By the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers dated August 9, 2019, "On the Establishment of the International Mathematical School in the Karakul District of Bukhara Region," it was reorganized into the International Mathematical School.

During the Head of State's visit to the Bukhara region in 2019, the task was set to fully renovate the building of the Industrial Vocational College in the city, transferring it to the school's jurisdiction. After that, large-scale construction and repair work was carried out here. In particular, the President allocated 44.7 billion soums for the repair of the school building and the improvement of the territory.

The building has all the necessary conditions, 64 modern classrooms, assembly and sports halls, and a library. The library has been renovated to meet international standards, allowing readers to freely access the electronic and traditional books they need. The school also has a dormitory for students.

Every year in July, students from the 7th grade are admitted to the International Mathematics School based on an exam conducted by the State Testing Center in three areas of study - economics, engineering, and natural sciences.

The schoolchildren achieved certain successes in a short period of time. In particular, he won 24 gold, 15 silver, and 17 bronze medals at international science Olympiads. He has won more than 100 medals at other international and republican science Olympiads.

Among the schoolchildren, Sevara Ostonova was awarded the Zulfiya State Prize, Doniyor Ismoilov, Lazizbek Rajabboyev, and Anvar Rahmatov were awarded the "Mard o'g'lon" State Prize, and Olimov Olimjon was awarded the "30th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan" commemorative badge.

On October 1, 2019, on the occasion of Teachers' and Mentors' Day, the director of the international school, Temir Ruziev Rajabovich, was awarded the "Mehnat Shuhrati" Order for his dedication to education and his worthy contribution to the achievement of high results by students and teachers.

The Head of State was informed about projects to popularize the experience of the International Mathematical School and create branches in the regions. Subsequently, branches of this school were established in Navoi, Syrdarya, and Tashkent regions.

In 2022, by the decision of Sh.Mirziyoyev, the building of the International Mathematical School was transferred to the jurisdiction of the Agency of Presidential Educational Institutions, and the school was named the Karakul Specialized Boarding School under the jurisdiction of Presidential Educational Institutions.

Currently, more than 60 qualified teachers are teaching 470 students here. Lessons are conducted in a more in-depth manner than in general education schools. The agency conducts 2 BSB exams per quarter and 1 CHSB exam at the end of the quarter to check students' knowledge. In addition to class hours, additional clubs have been organized. Students can attend any clubs of their choice.

Various festive events and conversations are organized at the school for the cultural recreation of young people with in-depth education. In 2022, for the first time among the schools of our country, Ted Talks (an English conversation on global topics) was organized by students of the school's English teacher Feruza Bebutova.

As an example of young people who took advantage of such opportunities, we can say that graduates such as Mirfayz Jumaqulov, Shohjahon Narmuratov, Javohir Oltmishov, Farrukh Askarov, Ruslan Yusupov, Behzod Hamroyev, and Shahrizoda Mehmonova became students of top-ranking international universities.

In recent years, due to the high enrollment rates of school graduates in higher education and the fact that they have won the most medals at international Olympiads, parents from all regions of our country, even from the capital, are taking their children to study in Karakul.
