News 11/02/2025 February 11 "International Day of Women and Girls in the Field of Science"

   At the 70th session of the UN General Assembly on December 22, 2015, February 11 was officially declared as "International Day of Women and Girls in Science," and since 2016, this date has been widely celebrated in many countries of the world.

   Today, women make up about 48 percent of employees in the system of higher, secondary specialized, and vocational education in our country. Among them are 737 Doctors of Science, 4,652 Candidates of Science or Doctors of Philosophy (PhD). Also, the number of women with academic titles is 3,770.

   Women also occupy a worthy place in leadership positions in higher educational institutions. In particular, 7 female rectors, 45 vice-rectors, and more than 70 women are working as faculty deans. At the same time, 13,214 women are studying at the postgraduate level in our country. This represents 50% of the total number of applicants.

   Women's research, discoveries, and innovations are of immeasurable importance for the development of humanity.
