By the relevant government decree (No. 149, 10.03.2025), the Regulation on the Procedure for Granting and Redistributing Grants to Students in Higher Educational Institutions was approved.
According to the regulation, applicants for educational grants are required to have a GPA of 3.5 or higher in the current academic year. Students whose academic performance is below this indicator will not be allowed to participate in the differentiated redistribution of the educational grant, and the place for the educational grant will remain vacant.
Applicants for educational grants will be able to register online on the official website of the higher education institution and upload documents substantiating their achievements.
The performance indicators of applicants for educational grants are assessed proportionally on an 80-point scale, which is determined by multiplying the GPA indicator by the number "16."
The indicator of social activity of applicants for an educational grant is assessed on a 20-point scale, which is determined by dividing the result calculated on the basis of the assessment criterion by the number "5."
Within the established educational grant places, priority is given to the academic performance indicators of applicants who have shown the same results within the competitive framework. If the same result is found in the academic performance indicator, test examinations are conducted for these applicants in the subjects of the specialty covered in the mastered semesters.
The list of students receiving educational grants based on the decision of the council of the higher educational institution is published annually by August 25 on the official website of the higher educational institution.
In short, starting this year, if a student on a contract studies well, they will be transferred to a grant, and if the academic performance of those on a grant is low, they will be transferred to a contract.
If a grant student's GPA is below 3.5, they will automatically be admitted to the contract. But if it's above 3.5, it doesn't mean the grant will last 100%. In this case, he participates in the competition again every year. If the majority of students studying on a contract basis have good results, students on grants with a GPA above 3.5 may also end up on a contract basis.
Any student with a GPA above 3.5 can participate in the grant competition. In this case, not only the indicator of assimilation is considered, but also social activity.
