Due to an international summit in Samarkand, movement in the city will be restricted (some roads will be closed).

For this reason, the following higher education institutions will be granted a short-term academic break from April 1-5, 2025, counted as part of their summer vacation:

• 1. Samarkand State University named after Sharof Rashidov
• 2. Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages
• 3. Samarkand Institute of Economics and Service
• 4. "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage
• 5. Samarkand Branch of Tashkent University of Information Technologies
• 6. Samarkand State Medical University
• 7. Uzbekistan-Finland Pedagogical Institute

Classes will resume on Monday, April 7.

️Note: The classes missed by students of these universities will be made up during the first days of summer vacation. In simple terms, they get 5 days off now, but in return, their summer vacation will start 5 days later.
