Articles 11/05/2025 What will be the procedure for transferring studies if distance learning is closed?

As you know, from the 2025/2026 academic year, the correspondence form of education has been completely closed for all areas of education.  This, in turn, raises the question of transferring studies.

So, is it possible to transfer to distance learning now?

Yes, of course, it is possible. The decree on the closure of correspondence education applies to newly admitted applicants and does not yet partially apply to those transferring studies, that is, the following is possible:

✅Transfer from abroad to distance learning;

✅Transfer from a non-state university to a state university for distance learning;

✅Transfer to distance learning from one state university to another;

✅Transfer from one of the non-state universities to another for part-time studies;

✅Transfer of studies to distance learning within one university;

✅Transfer from full-time to part-time education within one university.

If, during the transfer process, there is a high difference in subjects resulting in the possibility of admission to the 1st year, then transfer to correspondence education is not permitted, but is forcibly transferred to another form of education.

To explain more simply, during this year's transfer, 2-3-4-5 year students can easily "transfer" to distance learning. Only if there is no possibility of falling into the 1st year due to the difference in subjects.

Note: If a separate restrictive legal act is not adopted on this matter, you can freely transfer your studies in the above manner.
