News 15/11/2024 The Ministry of Health has published a list of prohibited foods in school kitchens

The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan has published a list of food products that are prohibited from being sold in school kitchens. This list is based on the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO) and aims to protect children's health.

Prohibited products include common products such as hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, chips, carbonated drinks, and energy drinks. The WHO recommends removing this type of food from the daily diet. According to the list published by the Ministry of Health, the sale of these products is prohibited in the kitchens of schools in Uzbekistan.

Based on the sanitary rules and hygiene standards of the Ministry of Health, the following products cannot be prepared and sold in school kitchens:

  • Bread products with meat, mayonnaise, ketchup, and vegetables (hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs).
  • Confectionery products with artificial flavoring and aroma additives, paints, and flavorings.
  • "Kiryeshki," "Khrustyashki" with artificial preservatives, chips, worms, pistachios, and homemade absorbable sweets.
  • Colorful and colorless carbonated beverages.
  • Meat, fish, poultry that have not passed veterinary control; as well as eggs that do not meet the necessary sanitary requirements.
  • Canned, rusty, or with no expiration date.
  • Cream confectionery (tea and pastry).
  • Raw smoked meat products and sausages, including boiled sausages.
  • Untreated milk and dairy products, kumiss and other fermented milk products.
  • Fast food products based on dry food concentrates and other hazardous food products.
