Articles 15/04/2025 Is it possible to deny a child admission to school because they didn't attend kindergarten?

According to the "Administrative Regulations for the Provision of Public Services for Admitting Children to State General Secondary Educational Institutions and Transferring Students from One General Secondary Educational Institution to Another," approved by Resolution No. 295 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated June 1, 2022, the Admissions Committee may refuse to admit children to school for the following reasons and circumstances:

According to the decision:

  • - if the medical certificate does not recommend studying at school;
  • - if the child does not have basic speaking skills in the chosen language of instruction;
  • - if the provided information is found to be incorrect.

In other cases, refusing to admit children to school is not permitted. Therefore, it is not possible to deny a child admission to school because they did not attend preschool preparatory courses or kindergarten. If admission is refused due to the above-mentioned reasons, these issues can be addressed and the application can be resubmitted.
