What the programme offers
BTEC programmes combine study of specialist subjects with practical, applied training and assessment. Students show their knowledge and skills through tasks linked to their future profession. This is intended to improve graduates' chances of employment and further study.

The list includes technical colleges in Karakalpakstan, Tashkent city and almost every region. Among them are Nukus College No. 1, Samarkand College No. 1, Chirchik College No. 1, Fergana College No. 4, Bukhara College No. 1 and Chilanzar District College No. 1. Specialised public health colleges named after Abu Ali ibn Sino in Andijan, Siyob (Samarkand) and Termez are also included.
After enrolment
Admitted students must be registered for the relevant BTEC qualification. Before teaching begins, each college and its training centre must pass a Pearson BTEC approval stage, which assesses teacher qualifications, necessary resources and quality assurance mechanisms. Students who meet the requirements will be eligible for the Pearson BTEC qualification.
The programme is used in 70 countries worldwide and was first introduced in Uzbekistan at Nukus College. The initiative is expected to reach more colleges and students in the coming years.
