Articles 28/11/2024 What will be done to parents of students who do not go to school regularly?

Parents and other legal representatives of minors are obliged to ensure that their children receive general secondary, secondary vocational or primary vocational education, to ensure that their children attend and control their learning (Article 51 of the Law "On Education").

In accordance with Article 47 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility of the Republic of Uzbekistan, failure to fulfill the duties of parents or persons replacing them in the upbringing and education of minors, including the commission of an administrative offense by minors, entails a fine of 340,000 to 1,700,000 soums.

If these offenses are committed repeatedly within 1 year after the application of an administrative penalty, they will result in a fine of 1 million 700 thousand soums to 3 million 400 thousand soums.

Obstruction by parents or persons replacing them in obtaining compulsory general secondary, secondary specialized, vocational education for children entails a fine of 3 million 400 thousand soums to 5 million 100 thousand soums.

If this offense is committed repeatedly within 1 year after the application of an administrative penalty, it is punishable by a fine of 5 million 100 thousand soums to 8 million 500 thousand soums or administrative arrest for up to 15 days.

In addition, illegal interference in the professional activities of a pedagogical employee of an educational institution or obstruction of the performance of their official duties will result in a fine for citizens from 2 million 380 thousand soums to 3 million 400 thousand soums, and for officials from 3 million 400 thousand soums to 5 million 100 thousand soums.

If the same offenses are committed repeatedly within one year after the application of an administrative penalty, citizens will be fined from 3,400,000 to 5,100,000 soums, and officials - from 5,100,000 to 6,800,000 soums.
