Overview
China's Zhengzhou University provides a 4-year President Scholarship grant to international students with high academic achievements for full-funded PhD studies. This grant was established to strengthen international exchange and cooperation and attract international students to study at Zhengzhou University. The program provides grants for almost all areas.

For reference: Zhengzhou University is a state university located in Henan Province, People's Republic of China. This university is the largest university in China by the number of students. Its campus covers an area of 433 hectares, making it the tenth largest in China.
Acceptability terms
- Candidates under the age of 40, who are not citizens of China, physically healthy, and have not committed a crime, can participate in the program;
- Candidates must have a master's degree or higher (including equivalent degrees) and have achieved high academic performance;
- HSK (fifth level) for doctoral studies in Chinese should be 210 points;
- IELTS 6.5 or higher for doctoral studies in English (for citizens of non-English-speaking countries);
- To become a leading researcher or specialist, candidates are required to have strong intellectual potential;
- They must comply with the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China, as well as the internal regulations of the university.
Note: At the time of application, candidates must not be a PhD student registered at one of the universities in China.
Benefits
The duration of the program is 4 years and it has the following advantages:
- Tuition fees will be fully covered;
- 1,000 yuan ($137) will be allocated monthly for accommodation;
- A monthly scholarship of 3,500 yuan is awarded.
Submit documents
Applicants must fill out this application form and submit the following documents:
- CV;
- Passport (with a validity period of at least another year);
- Original or notarized copy of the document on the level of education;
- Translation of full grades for bachelor's degree and higher (transcript);
- If the candidate is a student or employed, a document confirming their study or employment;
- Research proposal. It must contain at least 2,000 words and provide a link to the data used. Because the results of the plagiarism investigation are taken into account. If plagiarism materials are detected, the application is considered unsuccessful;
- Two letters of recommendation from professors who know the candidate well (it must contain their email address and phone number);
- Language proficiency certificates (HSK, TOEFL, IELTS);
- Physical examination documents (blood test results must be in English or Chinese);
- Original or notarized copy of the document on the absence of a crime;
- Scientific articles, awards and professional qualification documents (if any);
