For the 2025-2026 academic year, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan has allocated 71,844 grants for higher education.

In the 2024-2025 academic year, this figure was 78,200.

Fields with the largest number of grants:

Engineering, processing and construction sectors: 20,878 grants

Information and Communication Technologies: 12,087 grants

Natural Sciences, Mathematics and Statistics: 9,188 grants

Grants are awarded on a competitive basis according to the results of the Unified National Test (UNT).

In 2025, the number of school graduates will be 216,900, which is almost 30,000 more than last year.
