    Andijan State Medical Institute is one of the largest institutes in the region, located in the city of Andijan, and trains medical personnel under the supervision of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

    The Andijan State Medical Institute was established in 1955 in the city of Andijan. As it was the only higher educational institution in the Fergana Valley specializing in medicine, which was crucial for that period, extensive efforts were made to quickly establish and operationalize the institute. Dedicated compatriots such as Yusuf Otabekovich Otabekov, Rahim Mukhammedovich Nurmukhammedov, Satkul Usmanovich Djumabayev, and other skilled doctors made significant contributions to the foundation of the Andijan State Medical Institute, which has become a premier institution for medical professionals in our country. The current achievements of the institute, which has undergone a long journey of development and progress, are gaining recognition on a global scale.

Currently, the following faculties are active at the institute:

  The institute employs 870 staff members. Among them, 567 professors and teachers work across 50 departments, including 35 Doctors of Science and Professors, and 132 Associate Professors and Candidates of Science.

    The faculty members of the institute's 45 departments have developed 521 working curricula and educational-methodological complexes for all educational programs and courses, based on model curricula and incorporating advanced international experiences. These have been reviewed and approved by the faculty council and the institute's central methodological board. The electronic versions of the educational-methodological complexes have been recorded on CD disks and placed in the library.

   The institute's classrooms, lecture halls, and laboratory rooms (for biology, medical chemistry, biochemistry, biophysics, microbiology, normal physiology) are equipped with modern educational tools (computers, projectors, smart TVs, electronic whiteboards, laboratory equipment, electronic resources for virtual laboratories) and are widely used in the educational process.

    The Institute's "Training Simulation Center" is equipped with new robot simulators and phantoms for students to thoroughly master practical skills. The center includes rooms for anesthesiology and resuscitation, surgery, ENT, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, neonatology, propaedeutics of internal diseases, ophthalmology, anatomy, and dentistry. These facilities are actively utilized in the educational process.

   The Institute has established collaborative relationships with 43 prestigious higher education institutions and medical centers worldwide. In 2018 alone, the institute's leadership signed 10 cooperation agreements. Currently, there are partnership agreements in place with 22 higher educational institutions and medical centers in the Russian Federation.

  A "Media Center" has been established at the Institute's Information Technology Center. The center houses electronic versions of educational and methodological materials, as well as audio and video lectures prepared by professors and instructors, which are stored on CDs and DVDs.

  • electronic pharmacological notebooks for clinical subjects - 236;
  • self-paced courses for perfect execution of practical skills in various subjects.

   The Resource Center has created all necessary conditions for professors, teachers, and students to familiarize themselves with and study educational, scientific, and fiction literature during their free time. A mini printing house is also operating at the Resource Center.
