Tashkent State Agrarian University is the largest higher educational institution in Uzbekistan that trains specialists for agriculture. The university is organized under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

University history
The formation of the Tashkent State Agrarian University, like many other higher educational institutions in Central Asia, is closely linked to the name of the Mirzo Ulugbek National University, established in 1918 at the initiative of local intellectuals. In the 1920s, the agricultural faculty operated within its eight faculties.

In 1930, the Central Asian Agricultural Institute was established on the basis of the Agricultural Faculty of the Central Asian University, which operated from 1934 to 1991 under the name of the Tashkent Agricultural Institute. Since April 1991, it has been transformed into the Tashkent State Agrarian University. In 1992, the Nukus branch was established, which trains specialists at the undergraduate level of the university.

The university has 35 departments, a museum, and a scientific library. In the Urtachirchik district of the Tashkent region, a teaching and experimental farm with arable land, 4 hectares of greenhouse area, livestock farm and other production facilities belonging to the Tashkent State Agrarian University; a scientific center of agro-ecology, a biotechnology laboratory, a biolaboratory for breeding ethnomophages, scientific production, entrepreneurial scientific units such as a fungiculture center are operating.

Pankov, and AM. Schleicher, AI. Avtonomov, E. N. Mikhailov, V. A. Shchekin, A. A. Rubakov, A. V. Gvozdikov, M. B. Doshchanov, M. Bakhodirov, P. V. Protasov, A. I. Imomaliyev, V. I. Zuyev, E. T. Shaikhov, and B. A. Sulaymonov.

Since its establishment, the university has trained more than 55,000 specialists for agricultural science and various industries. The university is a member of the World Consortium of Agricultural Educational Institutions and Institutes, cooperates with 37 universities and 6 research institutes of foreign countries. Foreign cooperation: About 50 agreements and memorandums have been signed with foreign higher education institutions. Most of them are university students who are taking production practice in countries such as Germany and Russia.

In 2020, based on cooperation agreements with four universities in the United States, Russia, and Belarus, joint educational programs were implemented in five undergraduate programs and two master's programs. Agreements were signed with the following universities:
The university prepares specialists in 54 areas in the bachelor's degree and 31 in the master's degree. There are 5 student dormitories, 1 washing machine, 3 catering cafes, 1 sports complex, 1 information resource center and 1 youth center on the territory of Tashkent State Agrarian University.
