According to the decision, the Andijan State Technical Institute will be established on the basis of the Andijan Institute of Mechanical Engineering, the Andijan Institute of Economics and Construction and the Andijan Faculty of the Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry.

One of the main tasks and areas of activity of the Institute is the training of personnel with modern knowledge and practical skills in the automotive industry, electrical engineering, energy, textile, engineering, construction and other industries, as well as in accordance with the need of the region for personnel with higher education.

Starting from the 2025/2026 academic year:

The volume of training in such areas as energy engineering, artificial intelligence, mechatronics and robotics will be increased;

A system will be introduced to assess the indicators of students' mastery of subjects and the effectiveness of the activities of professors and teachers based on international standards;

All necessary services for students on organizational and legal issues arising during their studies will be provided on the basis of the "single window" principle;

For gifted students admitted to undergraduate and graduate programs, it was decided to conduct classes in separate groups in foreign languages.

All students studying at the Andijan Faculty of the Andijan Machine-Building Institute, the Andijan Institute of Economics and Construction and the Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry will continue their studies at the Institute.

Starting from the 2024/2025 academic year, graduate students will be awarded a diploma from the Institute.
