Yesterday, on April 29, the President was briefed on measures to support low-income families, ensure employment for people with disabilities, and expand the coverage and types of social services.
According to the report, it is proposed to support poor families in three categories depending on their socio-economic situation.
It is noted that such families will be provided with more than 100 types of social services, assistance, and benefits.
The procedures for inclusion in the "Register of Poor Families" will be established at the legislative level. Individual plans to lift them out of poverty will be approved, and targeted services and assistance will be provided. Factors limiting the employment of such people will be eliminated, and conditions will be created for them to earn a certain income.
A number of financial support measures will also be taken for the education of children from low-income families. In particular, children from such families will be exempt from paying for extended day groups at school. Those who achieve excellent grades will be able to vacation at camps for free.
For female students from low-income families who achieve excellent grades, a special scholarship will be paid at twice the amount of the basic scholarship.
The presentation also provided information on measures to ensure the employment of persons with disabilities.
It provides for incentives such as offering tax benefits to light industry enterprises that employ people with disabilities, reducing the social tax rate for such employees, and allocating subsidies of up to 500 million soums to entrepreneurs from the State Fund for Social Protection.
The volume of purchases of goods and services for persons with disabilities through the electronic trading platform will also be increased. Inclusive education groups will be organized in technical schools for vocational training.
In order to expand the coverage and types of social services for persons in need of outside care, the "Step to an Active Life" program will be introduced. Such individuals will be provided with medical and social services, including daytime visits or home care, assistance with household chores, restoration of lost physical activity, and disease prevention.
The Head of State approved the proposals and gave instructions for their systematic implementation and monitoring of their execution.
