News 28/02/2025 Now graduates whose language of instruction is not Uzbek will also take the state language exam

   By order of the Minister of Preschool and School Education No. 65 dated February 20, 2025, the procedure for conducting final state attestation in general secondary educational institutions was determined. Minister Hilola Umarova reported this.

   Based on this document, the list of subjects for final state attestation in general secondary educational institutions and the forms of examination, as well as the list of national and internationally recognized certificates for assessing the level of knowledge of general education subjects and foreign languages, have been approved.

   According to it, the final state attestation of 9th-grade students:

  • in the subject "Native Language and Literature" (for classes where instruction is conducted in the Uzbek language) - written;
  • From the state language (for classes where the language of instruction is not Uzbek) - in writing;
  • in mathematics - in writing;
  • Physical education subject - conducted in practical form.
  • The final state attestation of 11th-grade students is carried out:
  • in the subject "Native Language and Literature" (for classes where instruction is conducted in the Uzbek language) - written
  • From the state language (for classes where the language of instruction is not Uzbek) - in writing;
  • Mathematics (Basic) / Mathematics (In-depth) - written;
  • In the subject of history - written;

   At the student's choice:

  •  Native Language and Literature (for classes with instruction in Karakalpak, Russian, Kazakh, Turkmen, Tajik, Kyrgyz), Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Fundamentals of State Law, Geography - written;
  • Foreign language is taught in written/oral form.

    For information, starting from 2025, final control exams in the state language will also be mandatory for 11th-grade graduates of general secondary educational institutions where education is not conducted in the Uzbek language.

   The report added that detailed information about the changes will be provided through the ministry's social networks.
