After the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, during his visit to the Syrdarya region on February 19, 2019, proposed the creation of a creative school named after People's Poet Halima Khudoyberdiyeva in the city of Gulistan, the foundation stone of this school was laid in March of the same year.
The creative school named after Halima Khudoyberdiyeva is an educational institution specializing in the in-depth study of native language and literature.
On May 18, 2019, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution "On the establishment of a specialized boarding school for in-depth study of native language and literature named after Halima Khudoyberdiyeva in the city of Gulistan." After that, the construction and commissioning of the creative school named after Halima Khudoyberdiyeva is scheduled for On December 26, 2019.
The 150-seat school was established to educate talented and gifted youth of Uzbekistan and develop their interest in literature.
Currently, a total of 196 students from grades 7 to 11 are studying at the school. They are taught by 20 highly qualified teachers of the highest and first categories.
The creative school named after Halima Khudoyberdiyeva has set the following goals and objectives:
• Selection of talented students interested in fiction and other creative fields, creating appropriate conditions for the further development of their talents;
• Development and implementation of advanced pedagogical technologies for the education of creative youth with modern knowledge, free-thinking, able to compete with their peers in the world;
• Raising students of creative schools as modern individuals with knowledge, skills and abilities in all areas, broad thinking;
• Along with teaching gifted children the secrets of their native language and literature, ensuring their in-depth study of world languages, thereby ensuring the wide dissemination of Uzbek literature, art, and scientific achievements to the world through Uzbek literature and journalism in the future.
In the 2023-2024 academic year, 22 graduates of the creative school with a 100% result were admitted to universities on the basis of a state grant, the rest - on a paid-contract basis.
According to the Agency for Assessment of Knowledge and Skills, among more than 10,200 general education schools, academic lyceums, and vocational schools in our republic, students of the creative school named after Halima Khudoyberdiyeva took 3rd place on entrance exams to higher education, that is, an average of 164 points.
Currently, 71 students in grades 9-11 have received international and national certificates for foreign language proficiency and general education subjects.
At the regional stage of the subject Olympiads, 6 students of the creative school won prizes and were awarded the right to participate in the republican stage.
The creative works of students of the creative school named after Halima Khudoyberdiyeva were published in 4 issues of the poetry collection "Guldasta from the Garden of Creativity," published under the sponsorship of the Agency of Specialized Educational Institutions.
Even today, students' scientific articles are published in conference journals organized in the Republic of Turkey, France, the USA, and Canada.
Special attention was paid to teaching foreign languages at the creative school, and due to the establishment of teaching Turkish as a second language, a foreign Turkish language teacher Recep Akis was involved in the school. Currently, Chinese is also taught in cooperation with the Uzbekistan University of World Languages.
Students of the creative school took an active part in more than 20 competitions and festivals held by the Republican Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment, the Writers' Union of Uzbekistan, the Agency for Youth Affairs and the Agency of Specialized Educational Institutions, as well as the regional khokimiyat.
In addition to five meals a day, accommodation, and several subject clubs, the following clubs also operate regularly at the school.
