To obtain a referral to the sanatorium, the employee shall apply to the trade union committee established at the place of work.

Employees of non-union organizations apply to territorial unions for a sanatorium referral based on the employer's power of attorney.

The Trade Union Committee provides the employee with information about the sanatoriums and rest homes in the system

The employee chooses a sanatorium that suits them and submits an application for a referral to the sanatorium.

The Trade Union Committee accepts the employee's application and takes a queue, entering it into the Appeals Registration Book (form 13) for a referral to the sanatorium.

The Trade Union Committee issues an order to the district (city) councils of higher trade union organizations based on the amount of funds available to the employee for obtaining a preferential referral.

District (city) councils of trade union organizations accept the order and issue the requested referral to the sanatorium on the basis of the organization's union committee's power of attorney.

To receive a referral from the trade union committee, the employee shall submit the following documents:

• application;
• medical certificate;
• copy of the passport;
• a copy of the workbook;
• extract from the order on the granting of leave;

payment slip (quicknote) confirming full or partial payment of the ticket price (45% of the ticket price).

The employee receives a sanatorium referral and a sanatorium-resort card from the medical institution for presentation to the sanatorium and visits the sanatorium on the day specified in the referral.
