By presidential decree, the National Pedagogical University of Uzbekistan named after Nizami will be established on the basis of the Tashkent State Pedagogical University named after Nizami.
The university will become the leading higher education institution in the country for training pedagogical personnel.
Starting from the new academic year, a system will be implemented for selecting professors and teachers to teach in the university's programs where international educational curricula have been introduced, involving foreign specialists.
From the 2026/2027 academic year, to further improve the education system for children with special educational needs, training of personnel in the master's specialty "Hospital Pedagogy" will be established.
From the 2025/2026 academic year, admission for pedagogical training programs will only be offered in full-time and evening study formats. Admission to distance learning programs will be discontinued.
According to the decree, licensing of activities in the field of non-state educational services for higher pedagogical education will be carried out based on the conclusion of the Ministry of Preschool and School Education.
From September 1, 2026, international educational programs will be gradually introduced into the curricula of existing pedagogical technical schools in the country.
