Meet Asilbek Ashurov, an 11th-grade student of the Presidential School in Gulistan. Asilbek was admitted to the prestigious University of Chicago in the USA on a full scholarship of $420,000.
He made history as the first Uzbek student to receive a full scholarship from the University of Chicago.
It should be noted that the University of Chicago is one of the most prestigious universities in the world, known internationally for its scientific research, high-quality education, and strong academic traditions.
In international rankings such as QS "World University Rankings" and "Times Higher Education," the University of Chicago consistently occupies the highest positions. Currently, this university ranks 14th in the world.
It should be especially noted that the Presidential Schools, established at the initiative of our esteemed President, have begun to bear fruit today.
Asilbek is not the only example. Over the past years, Abdulaziz Sobirov, a student of the Presidential School in Tashkent, has been admitted to Harvard University, which is among the TOP-5 in the world ranking, on a grant of 354,000 US dollars. Another graduate of the school, Sayfullo Saidov, was admitted early to University College London, ranked 9th in the world ranking, as well as to Princeton University, ranked 17th in the world QS ranking, on a full grant of $350,000. Our girls are also active. For example, Guzal Khaydarova, a graduate of the Namangan Presidential School, is currently studying at Harvard University on a full scholarship basis.
Among the graduates of these prestigious universities, there are many well-known scientists and Nobel laureates. Perhaps, over the years, our students will also find their place among them.
