Uzbekistan has created an opportunity to reduce the base fee for state accreditation of educational institutions by four times. The Ministry of Justice reported this.

The ministry registered in the state register a document that adds amendments to the regulation on fees for comprehensive and special state accreditation of educational institutions and the procedure for calculating them. The departmental act was registered on October 31, 2026, under number 3739-1.

Under the new rules, the fee may be reduced at the request of an educational institution if one of the following conditions is met:

  • accreditation of programs is needed to carry out assignments set by acts of the President, the head of the Presidential Administration, or the Cabinet of Ministers;
  • at least 50 percent of the institution's current programs were already accredited by organizations listed in the register of accreditation bodies recognized in Uzbekistan, and these results reduce the volume of assessment;
  • special state accreditation is conducted remotely, or applications are submitted for 10 or more educational programs at the same time.

The fee may also be reduced when related programs are accredited and the shared material and technical base, staff, or other infrastructure does not require repeated assessment, which reduces the workload.

The change aims to lower accreditation costs for educational institutions. How it will work in practice will depend on the conditions listed above.
