On January 15, a branch of the Department of "Tourism and Hotel Business" of the Tashkent State University of Economics (TGU) was opened at the Tourism Committee.

The opening ceremony was attended by First Deputy Chairman of the Tourism Committee Jamshid Abdusalomov, Rector of Tashkent State Economic University Tulkin Teshaboyev, experienced specialists in the field of tourism, professors and students of TDIU, as well as representatives of the media.

At the event, it was noted that this branch, established as part of the implementation of the tasks outlined in the presidential decrees, will make a significant contribution to the training of highly qualified personnel in the field of tourism and hospitality, transforming tourism into an important sector of the country's economy.

The participants got acquainted with the activities of the research and educational rooms organized at the Tourism Committee for professors and researchers, as well as the library, which contains more than 2000 books.
