Research in Industrial Projects for Students (RIPS) is a research program in industrial projects designed by the University of California, Los Angeles, USA, for gifted undergraduate students studying in mathematics, computer science, and related fields. The program provides students with the opportunity to work in teams on real research projects offered by industry or the public sector, which are the program's sponsors. Each team, with the support of its academic and industry mentors, investigates the problem and presents the results orally and in writing at the end of the program.
