Overview

The Turkish Scholarship Grant Program for the 2025-2026 academic year provides the opportunity to study at all stages: bachelor's, master's, doctoral, with full funding.

Citizens of all countries can apply for this grant program, no prior knowledge of the Turkish language is required. If the candidate does not know Turkish, he must study an additional language course for one year and obtain a C1 level, the cost of the course will also be covered by the program. If the candidate has a perfect academic level of Turkish, no additional 1 year of study in the language course is required.

Before applying to the program, candidates must choose the appropriate direction and university from here. After that, it is possible to apply for the program, and during the filling out of the application, the chosen direction and the university are indicated.

As the grant program accepts only international students, there will be an opportunity to study with international requirements from different countries.

Acceptance Terms

  • All international students, researchers who are currently and have not previously been Turkish citizens can apply;
  • For the bachelor's degree, you must be under 21 years old and have at least 70% academic performance.
  • Candidates under the age of 30 are accepted for the master's degree and under the age of 35 for the doctoral degree, academic performance for these stages should be above 75%;
  • Candidates should also have excellent health.

Benefits

  • The Turkish Bursaries grant program covers tuition fees, accommodation, round-trip airfare, and health insurance;
  • Also, a scholarship will be issued monthly: for undergraduate students - 3,500 TL ($100), for master's students - 5,000 TL ($141), for doctoral students - 6,500 TL ($184);
  • For students who have won a grant but do not speak Turkish, a 1-year language course is held, and the cost of the course is also paid by the program;
  • Applying for a grant is absolutely free.

Submit document

Initially, candidates are asked to register through this link and fill in information about themselves;

After filling in the information, they will need to upload the following documents, depending on the chosen areas and type of study:

  • Diplomas or certificates from all educational institutions that they have completed prior to submission to this grant program;
  • A list of all community services they provided during their school years (how active they were);
  • Grades and results in high school;
  • Grades received at an academic lyceum/college and their results;
  • Letter of intent, research proposal;
  • Passport, photo and NIC (National Center for Informatics);
  • All academic transcripts;
  • Diploma or certificate of graduation;
  • Language test and international exam result (if requested);
  • Certificate of language proficiency (language ability certificate);
  • About the last course that received the certificate;
  • IELTS or similar international exams: GRE, GMAT, SAT scores and certificates (if required at the university or direction of choice);
  • Recommendations (preferably written by subject teachers who have received good grades);
  • If there is work experience, it should be included.

The publication of the results is carried out in the following order:

  • Submission of documents will last until February 20;
  • The results of the preliminary qualifying round are announced from the end of February to May;
  • Those who have passed the qualification stage will be invited to the interview from March to June;
  • The results will be announced in July.
  • The necessary documents for departure will be prepared in July-August;
  • The academic year will begin in September 2025.
