What is the procedure for becoming a class teacher in schools?
According to the order of the Minister of Preschool and School Education No. 190 dated June 27, 2023, the process of selecting class leaders and releasing them falls under the authority of the school director. Class leaders are appointed from among the teachers in the school and they are responsible for organizing the educational, social and educational activities of their students.
The class leader must meet the following criteria:
Pedagogical work experience: Teachers appointed as class leaders are required to have at least 3 years of pedagogical work experience. This means that the teacher should be experienced in teaching and have a good understanding of the institution's activities.
Being the main worker in the school: The class teacher should act as the main worker in the school. This is important to ensure continuity of the teacher's involvement in school life and related responsibilities.
Management ability: The class leader must have the ability to manage students in a responsible manner. This means that it is necessary for them to provide special guidance to students, to be active in educational activities.
In elementary grades, classroom management is usually assigned to the main teacher of that grade. This means that primary school teachers are the leaders of their class and are involved in the educational work of students. Classroom management is important for processes that require extra attention and nurturing for students.
