     The Bukhara Institute of Natural Resources Management, part of the National Research University "Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers," was initially established as the "Bukhara Branch of the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Melioration" based on Resolution No. 182 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated August 20, 2010.

   In accordance with paragraph 8 of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ-42 dated December 10, 2021, "On measures for fundamental improvement of the system of training engineering personnel for economic sectors based on innovation and digitalization," the National Research University "TIQXMMI" was transformed into the Bukhara Institute of Natural Resources Management.

    The Bukhara Institute of Natural Resources Management of the National University "TIQXMMI" is a potential-rich and dynamically developing regional higher education institution that has achieved notable success in educational, scientific, and spiritual-educational activities. It trains highly competitive specialists with higher education in the fields of agriculture and water management.

   Currently, a total of 190 professors and teachers are employed full-time at the institute. Among them, 61 are faculty members with scientific qualifications, including 9 Doctors of Science and professors, and 52 Doctors of Philosophy (PhD), Candidates of Science, and Associate Professors.

  To date, the institute has trained over 2,600 specialist professionals. At present, the institute offers high-quality education through 3 faculties, 10 departments, 19 bachelor's degree programs, 14 master's degree specializations, and 5 specialized fields. The total number of students is 3,910, of which 41 are pursuing master's degrees.

   Currently, the institute's 400-seat Palace of Culture, two indoor sports complexes, two academic buildings, a laboratory complex, a technopark campus, a training and research center, an information resource center, an information technology center, as well as a modernly equipped and established "Water School," are serving to provide students with in-depth knowledge.

    The total collection of the Institute's Information Resource Center comprises 3,493 titles and 21,237 copies of literature. Specifically, it includes 624 titles with 8,135 copies of textbooks, 651 titles with 3,112 copies of study guides, 317 titles and 330 copies of scientific literature, 1,034 titles and 1,158 copies of fiction, 11,744 titles and copies of electronic literature, as well as 857 titles and 8,502 copies of other literature.

   Currently, there are 3 student dormitories on the institute's premises, designed to accommodate 400 residents, though presently 570 students are living there. The construction of an additional 400-bed dormitory was completed in September 2024.

   In a short period, the institute has established cooperation with more than 25 advanced higher education institutions and research centers worldwide. Collaboration agreements have been signed with numerous prestigious foreign educational institutions.
