Articles 13/05/2025 It was reported how many personnel trained from budget funds were not employed

At the parliamentary session held on May 6, deputy Anvar Temirov listed several shortcomings and problems identified in the work carried out by the Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction.

At the meeting, Anvar Temirov said that he had reviewed the ministry's report and there were many shortcomings in the work done.

"The main function of the ministry will be to provide employment and lift the population out of poverty. The figures presented in the report show the opposite.

About 74 thousand (30 percent) of citizens trained in vocational training monocenters were left unemployed.

In addition, budget funds were spent on inefficient purposes. The population is being trained, but they are not being employed, or they are not being trained in the necessary professions.

The most interesting thing is that centers in some districts are busy fulfilling the plan. On the contrary, they should be aimed at vocational training and employment.

It is necessary not to spend money from the state budget to fulfill the plan. Why didn't the ministry fully convey the reforms to its lower levels?

If the ministry is busy fulfilling the plan, isn't it afraid that tomorrow the population will react negatively to the reforms being carried out by the head of state? Why were so many allocated funds used inefficiently, why hasn't this been prevented to this day?

"Tomorrow, when deputies go to the regions, we have responsibility to the citizens, we must answer when they ask questions," the deputy said.

In response, Deputy Minister of Employment Sirojiddin Bobokulov explained which professions were taught and why they were not employed.

"According to the presidential decree of October 4, 2024, the number of vocational skills schools under the ministry has been brought from 75 to 65.

As a result of the analysis, in 2022, 2023, and the first six months of 2024, 30 percent of those trained in professions were not employed.

Most of them are trained in culinary, confectionery, and sewing professions. Most of the unemployed were women.

Among them, it was found that those who got married and moved away, were engaged in childcare at home, and applied the acquired skills not to income-generating work, but for their families.

To date, the training process in the ministry system has been updated. Professions applicable to the family have been removed from the planned curriculum.

Training in these areas will begin only at the request of the employer, that is, after the place of work is determined," the Deputy Minister said.
