A Presidential Decree "On Approving the Concept for Raising the Ecological Culture of the Population for the Period up to 2030" has been adopted (Decree No. 184, dated May 15, 2025).

According to the Decree, the following targets have been set for 2030, including:

🔹 Strengthening environmental education and raising ecological awareness among 4.2 million students in general secondary education institutions;

🔹 Strengthening environmental education and raising ecological awareness among 400 thousand students in secondary specialized and vocational education institutions.

The Decree approved the Concept for Raising the Ecological Culture of the Population for the period up to 2030.

✔️ Starting from the 2025-2026 academic year:

▶️Topics related to scientific and practical research on improving the ecological culture of the population will be announced annually in scientific project competitions;

◀️A movement of Uzbekistan's eco-volunteer students will be organized by university students.

🌐 A non-governmental non-profit organization "Community of Ecologist Scientists" will be established.

💬 Annual competitions will be organized among students in categories such as "Ecology Expert," "Promoter of Ecological Culture," "Most Active Eco-Volunteer," and "Best Ecology Defender of the Year," as well as for startup projects.

📝 Also, on June 5 - World Environment Day, an annual international scientific and practical forum dedicated to discussing current environmental issues will be held among students.

⭐️Admission quotas for postgraduate studies in the field of ecology will be increased by 30%.

🛡Additional quotas for doctoral studies in the field of ecological culture and environmental issues will be allocated for women, broken down by region.
