Those planning to apply for a master's programme should take note of new information. According to the Axmadjanov.uz Telegram channel, the master's admission procedure may change in the coming years.

Current procedure (2026/2027)

This academic year there is no separate entrance exam for master's programmes. Selection is based on the bachelor's diploma score and a foreign language certificate.

Expected change from 2027/2028

The author writes that, under Presidential Decree PF-58 dated 10 April 2026, starting from the 2027/2028 academic year:

  • the foreign language certificate requirement remains unchanged;
  • state higher education institutions may hold an entrance exam in the major subject.

This means applicants to state master's programmes may need to prepare for an additional subject exam. However, the word «may» suggests that each institution will decide for itself whether to hold such an exam.

Advice for applicants: follow the decree text on official resources and the announcements of your university. The exact rules will be published in these documents.
