Opportunities for IT cooperation between the Ministry of Digital Technologies and Japanese companies were discussed.
Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies R. Karimjonov held a meeting with representatives of the Japan External Trade Development Organization (JETRO). This meeting was dedicated to the development of bilateral cooperation, the promotion of joint initiatives in the IT field, and the integration of Uzbek IT specialists into the international market.
The parties considered the possibility of opening representative offices of leading Japanese IT companies in Uzbekistan. The Ministry's initiatives to support foreign companies were also discussed, including plans to create favorable conditions for IT industry representatives, incentivize them, and provide them with the necessary infrastructure.
During the meeting, detailed information was provided on the advantages of the IT ecosystem of Uzbekistan, in particular, the tax benefits provided through the Zero Risk program and IT Park residency. It was noted that these opportunities are much more convenient and important for Japanese companies to enter the Uzbek market and develop their activities here.
At the same time, the parties identified areas of further cooperation and agreed to develop cooperation in the implementation of joint projects in the IT field.
