On February 28, a republican forum on "Advantages of Organizing Dual Education" was held in Nukus in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation and the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).
Representatives of vocational education organizations, ministries, and enterprises operating in the Republic of Karakalpakstan participated in the forum. The participants familiarized themselves with the work being carried out and the results of implementing dual education in vocational education organizations.
At the event, issues of supporting young people's interest in acquiring professions and specialties, the organization of dual education in the vocational education system, and the work being carried out in this direction were discussed.
At the forum, information was presented on the prospects for the development of dual education in our republic, the experience of Germany, as well as cooperation between students, enterprises, educational institutions, and the state. In the Republic of Karakalpakstan, dual education has been established in 31 vocational educational institutions in cooperation with 745 enterprises and organizations, and 1,716 students are learning the secrets of professions and specialties.
In the future, it is planned to introduce dual education in more than 10 professions and specialties in the technical schools of Amudarya, Karauzyak, Kungrad districts and the city of Nukus, bringing the level of coverage to 3000 students, the number of professions to 20, and the number of partner organizations to 1000.
Within the framework of the forum, relevant cooperation agreements were signed between vocational education organizations, ministries, and enterprises.
The forum continued with a discussion of the importance of the widespread introduction of dual education into practice, existing problems and their solutions, future plans, and a question-and-answer session.
