In cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, and the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Saudi Arabia, an important international cultural and educational event "Uzbekistan - a unique center of world heritage" was held.
The event was dedicated to the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference, which will be held in Samarkand in 2025, and was held on February 18 at the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Saudi Arabia. Within the framework of the event, a presentation of Uzbekistan's cultural and scientific heritage, historical monuments, and tourism opportunities was held.
In the cultural part, the "Nurafshon" Song and Dance Ensemble performed national songs and melodies, and also demonstrated the tradition of preparing pilaf, which is included in the UNESCO Representative List.
The event left a great impression on the participants. Ahmed al-Maimuni, Director of Scientific Research at the International Institute of Iranian Studies "Rasana" of Saudi Arabia, highly appreciated the cultural potential of Uzbekistan and noted that such events play an important role in the development of cultural ties between the two countries.
The event will once again demonstrate Uzbekistan's place in the world cultural heritage and serve to strengthen international cooperation.
