The Presidential Decree "On Measures for the Fundamental Improvement of the Personnel Training System in the Medical Field" (No. PP-149, dated April 22, 2025) has been adopted.

According to the decree, the newly established Tashkent State Medical University will be the leading higher education institution for training, retraining, and improving the qualifications of specialists and scientific personnel with higher education in the medical field.

Starting from the 2025/2026 academic year, separate groups will be gradually established in the master's program with instruction in foreign languages.

Specialized medical centers and medical institutions in Tashkent will serve as clinical practice bases for University students.

Admission of students to the University will commence from the 2025/2026 academic year.

Beginning from the 2025/2026 academic year, all students currently studying at the Tashkent Medical Academy, Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute, and Tashkent State Dental Institute will continue their studies at the University, and graduating students will be awarded a University diploma in accordance with established procedures.

A Tashkent State Medical University Development Fund will be established within the University structure, to be replenished through charitable donations.
