A survey was conducted on the quality of education in Uzbekistan's schools and the ongoing reforms. On February 7, a UPL correspondent asked 2,238 students and parents, "How do you assess the level of education in Uzbekistan's schools?" According to the survey results, most respondents complained that the reforms occupy a lot of time for teachers and students.
Survey results
It was found that 24.31 percent of respondents, that is, 544 people, positively assessed the improvement of conditions in schools and significant changes in the educational process. However, 1,481 participants (66.18%) noted that the reforms are taking up much of the time of teachers and students and negatively affect the learning process. The remaining 213 people (9.52%) said that no changes have been noticed in the conditions in schools and that the reforms are not being implemented in practice.
Future work
According to the results, reforms in Uzbekistan's schools are not yielding the results that citizens expect. Therefore, to further strengthen the education sector, the relevant agencies need to conduct a thorough analysis and review the reforms.
