As a result of the new US administration's "freezing" of USAID grant program financing, projects of a number of civil society institutions in Uzbekistan were suspended.

   Otabek Khusanov, Director of the Public Fund for Supporting Civil Society Institutions under the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, stated that conditions will be created for the continuation of such projects.

   According to him, the fund is ready to introduce a separate program in 2025 for organizations that have encountered problems with foreign grants.
