According to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 80 of February 21, 2022, non-state higher educational institutions have the right to provide education only at the address specified in the license.

What does the precise indication of the address in the license mean?

Each non-state higher educational institution is obliged to indicate in its license the exact address to which it operates. This request is due to the following reasons:

  • Educational buildings and territories must comply with established standards.
  • Before issuing a license, official inspections are carried out.
  • For branches to operate legally, a separate address must be indicated in the license.
  • If the university has opened a legal branch, the address of the branch must be clearly indicated in its license.

What does the presence of reception offices in other regions mean?

  • Some non-state universities may open admissions offices in other regions to create convenience for citizens. However, this does not mean that he has the right to teach in that province.
  • Reception offices serve only for submitting documents and issuing information.
  • The educational process is carried out only at the address specified in the license.

If a university tells you that it has a branch in another region, it is recommended to check the list of addresses in the license.

Conclusion:

For branches of private universities to be legal, their addresses must be clearly indicated in the license. All students are recommended to check information about the place of study and the branch from official sources.
