Reposts 30/12/2024 Summer internship program for undergraduate and graduate students from the National Institute of Genetics of Japan

Overview
The National Institute of Genetics/Genetics Faculty (National Institute of Genetics (NIG) / Department of Genetics, SOKENDAI) offers a research practice program for undergraduate and graduate students who wish to gain research experience in fields related to genetics and the natural sciences.

The internship program is conducted in Life Science. The program includes scientific research, scientific communication, laboratory research, and training. During the internship, participants should find a leader at the internship site and work together. At the end of the program, participants will present their experience at the "NIGINTERN Reports Symposium." NIG will be awarded a certificate of successful completion of the program.

Registration will begin on December 6, 2024 and will last until 08:00 a.m. on January 6, 2025 (Uzbekistan time). The internship will be held from June 13 to July 24, 2025.

Acceptance Terms
Candidates should be interested in natural sciences and have knowledge in this field;
At the time of applying for the program, candidates must be a year away from graduation, for example, undergraduate students must be in the 3rd year (at the end of the program, they must be able to return to the candidate's country and study for another year);
Entrants must follow the program rules.
Note: As the selection stage of the competition is based on a high level of competitiveness, applications from undergraduate and graduate students who are not studying in one previous course or in the doctoral program are not considered.

Submit document
The program is initially registered online. Registration will begin on December 6, 2024 and will last until 08:00 a.m. on January 6, 2025 (Uzbekistan time).

During the initial registration, candidates are asked to enter the names and email addresses of two applicants. After the candidates are registered, a message is sent to the e-mail of the heads who issue recommendations asking them to submit a recommendation.

During the document submission process, the following is requested:

Motivation letter (around 500 words)
CV;
University grades at the undergraduate or graduate level (should be translated into English or Japanese);
Two recommendations.

December 6, 2024 - January 6, 2025: Application process;
End of February 2025: Announcement of results;
March-May 2025: Preparation for departure;
June 13 - July 24, 2025: Practice;
By the end of July 2025: Task completion and program completion.
