School principals in Andijan and Asaka districts dismissed

According to law enforcement agencies, G.E. (a woman) living in Asaka district, despite not having any special knowledge, illegally taught religious lessons to 5 minor boys born between 2014 and 2016 in her home.

Four of the children are from Andijan and one from Kashkadarya region.

It should be noted that in 2016, the parents of a child born in the Kashkadarya region transferred their child's education to the 2nd grade of one of the secondary schools in the Asaka district in November 2023.

The director of the school accepted the child to study without the application of the parents, without issuing the appropriate order. He also did not take the necessary measures, although he knew that he was receiving religious education in a "hujra" environment.

A child from Kashkadarya lived in the house of citizen G.E. and took religious lessons. However, due to injuries sustained as a result of repeated beatings by this woman, she was hospitalized.

In connection with the situation, a criminal case was initiated against G.E. under paragraphs "a" and "v" of Article 110 (Torture) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Also, a service inspection was carried out against the school director and he was dismissed from his position.

A similar situation was detected in Andijan district. Citizen A.U. (male) organized a "hujra" in his house and taught religious lessons to 4 boys born in 2010 and 2013.

One of the children lives in Tashkent, but at the request of his parents, his education was transferred to one of the secondary schools in Andijan district so that he could take religious lessons.

Unfortunately, although the child did not attend school classes, the director of this school did not take the necessary measures to involve him in compulsory education.

A service inspection was carried out against the school director and he was dismissed from his post.
