The List of national and internationally recognized certificates that determine the level of knowledge of foreign languages and general education subjects is approved in the Appendix to the Resolution of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 4, 2024 No. 4-q/q and the Ministry of Preschool and School Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 2, 2024 No. 3-mh (registration number 3515).

Its 3rd chapter defines the List of national and internationally recognized certificates that determine the level of proficiency in foreign languages used in the allocation of salaries to teaching staff working in the system of general secondary, secondary special, professional and higher education.

It contains:

• Test of English as a Foreign Language - TOEFL iBT;

✓ Test of English as a Foreign Language - TOEFL iTP certificate available.

According to the explanation given to it, all Teaching English for Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL), Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) certificates should cover at least 100 contact hours with the teacher (trainer) and at least 40 hours of teacher-pedagogical practice, where the practice part should be observed and evaluated by the instructor.
