The Andijan Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnologies is one of the major higher education centers in the Republic of Uzbekistan, preparing highly qualified specialists for the agricultural and water management sectors. Currently, the institute's specialists and faculty members are playing a crucial role in the ongoing agrarian reforms in the country, cultivating new personnel in the fields of modern agrotechnologies, digitalization of agriculture, and sustainable development.

History of the Institute
- 1964: The Andijan Institute of Cotton Growing was established based on the Andijan branch of the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers.
- 1992: By decree of the First President of Uzbekistan I.A. Karimov, the institute was transformed into the Andijan Institute of Agriculture. This decision was aimed at expanding specializations in the field of agriculture.

- 2018: In accordance with Presidential Decree No. PP-3704, the Andijan branch of Tashkent State Agrarian University was established.
- 2020: By Presidential Decree No. PP-4795, it was transformed into the independent Andijan Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnologies. This was a step aimed at developing agrotechnologies and innovative approaches.
Over 60 years, the institute has trained more than 23,000 agronomists, mechanical engineers, hydro-ameliorators, veterinarians, and other specialists, making a significant contribution to the agricultural system of Uzbekistan.

The Institute operates 5 faculties, which train specialists in the following fields:
1. Faculty of Agrobiology: Crop Science, Agrochemistry, Plant Breeding and Seed Production;
2. Faculty of Agribusiness and Digital Economics: Agricultural Logistics, Finance, Marketing, Agribusiness Management;
3. Faculty of Agricultural Engineering and Hydromelioration: Agricultural Mechanization, Hydraulic Structures, Water Resources Management;
4. Faculty of Sericulture and Mulberry Cultivation: Silk Production Technologies, Mulberry Tree Cultivation;
5. Faculty of Plant Protection and Agrochemistry: Pest Control, Organic Farming.

The institute admits students to approximately 50 specialties at both bachelor's and master's levels.
