The Presidential Decree "On measures to widely promote the creative heritage of the great poet and thinker Mir Alisher Navoi in our country and the world, as well as to hold the "Year of Alisher Navoi" in the Navoi region at a high level" (No. PP-43 dated 07.02.2025) has been adopted.

   According to the decree, in connection with the 584th anniversary of the birth of Alisher Navoi, 2025 will be declared the "Year of Alisher Navoi" in Navoi region.

   The Republican Commission for the In-depth Study and Wide Promotion of the Creative Heritage of Alisher Navoi and the High-Level Conduct of the "Year of Alisher Navoi" in the Navoi Region, as well as the Program of Measures, have been approved.

   In order to raise the study of Alisher Navoi's legacy to a higher level, one of the main tasks of the Republican Commission is to conduct systematic scientific research in our country and abroad and publish its results, create new scientific, artistic, and popular works on this topic, and take measures to publish the works of Navoi scholars and creators abroad in the Uzbek language.

   The traditional international symposium "Alisher Navoi and the Renaissance of the East" and Navoi readings will be held at a high level.

   An international scientific conference on the topic "The Role of Alisher Navoi's Scientific and Literary Heritage in the Spiritual and Educational Development of Humanity" will be held at Navoi State University on October 10-15, 2025.

   A republican competition on the theme "Understanding Hazrat Navoi - Understanding Our Identity," as well as "Navoi Reading Evenings" in educational institutions and mahallas, will be organized.
