Question: Is the contract amount for the final semester of graduating courses in higher education institutions lower than the annual contract amount? In other words, is it reduced for not studying in July and August? The student has been paying tuition without a scholarship since the 1st year, meaning they have been paying the contract fee without receiving a scholarship.
Lawyer's response:
According to Clause 26 of the Regulation on the paid-contract form of education in higher and secondary specialized, vocational educational institutions and the procedure for distributing funds received from it (registered on 26.02.2013, registration No. 2431), payment for the last academic year (or the last academic semester if paid in installments) of graduating students in higher educational institutions is made by deducting the scholarship amount for July and August from the established payment amount.
💁 ♂️ In this case, the deductible scholarship amount is determined based on the last established scholarship amount for contract-based education, calculated using the base amount with a coefficient of 0.75 applied.
☝️If you've noticed, the reduction in the contract amount is tied to the scholarship amount that would be paid in July and August.
❗️Accordingly, if the tuition contract was paid without a scholarship, the tuition contract amount will not change for the final year either.
