  The University of Journalism and Mass Communications of Uzbekistan was established on May 24, 2018, by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PP-3737.         The total number of professors and teachers at UzJOKU (Uzbekistan University of Journalism and Mass Communications) is 208, including 4 professors, 24 associate professors, 4 doctors of science, 12 candidates of science, and 13 PhDs. The university has 9 departments and the following faculties:

  • Faculty of International Relations and Social and Political Sciences;
  • Printing and mass media and publishing activities;
  • Faculty of International and Audiovisual Journalism;
  • Faculty of Internet Journalism and Media Management.

   Currently, the university is training not only journalists, but also media designers, media marketers, PR managers, and information services.

 Today, the UzJOKU has an Information Resource Center, an Information Technology Center, a Museum of the History of Journalism, a television and radio studio, a photo laboratory, and a coworking center for a student press club. In addition, the university has established international relations with leading universities and research centers in developed countries around the world.

  Contract prices for the University of Journalism and Mass Communications of Uzbekistan vary depending on the chosen direction and form of education. In the 2024-2025 academic year, the base contract price is adjusted to the values established by the state. In addition, students who have not passed the exam results through a differentiated or "super-contract" system will also have the opportunity to receive education.
