News 06/05/2025 The correspondence form of education has been completely abolished for all programs

According to the presidential decree, starting from the 2025/2026 academic year, admission to the correspondence form of education has been terminated. Admission to distance learning has been permanently closed. There will no longer be admission to the correspondence form of education in all areas.

That is, a quota for part-time studies will not be allocated for admission processes that begin in 1.5 months.

This requirement applies equally to both state and non-state (private) universities.

In this case, admission to correspondence education is terminated in all areas. That is, there is no such thing as having a correspondence course in one direction and closing a correspondence course in another direction. Now, students cannot be admitted to any distance learning program.

Currently, upper-level students continue their studies by correspondence. That is, admission to correspondence courses has been suspended, no new students will be admitted to correspondence courses, but the correspondence courses themselves have not been closed.

Instead of distance learning, admission quotas for alternative forms of education other than full-time education will be gradually increased. This could be more of a form of distance learning.

It is also permitted to teach in an optimized part-time form of education.

In universities, it is not allowed to exceed the total admission quota for alternative forms of education by more than 50 percent of the admission result for the full-time form of education. That is, if 100 people are admitted to full-time education, then they cannot admit more than 50 people to alternative education.

This, as before, will not be measured only by announcing a quota, but will be possible to first complete full-time admission and then receive an alternative of 50% based on the number of students received.

Alternative education is permitted at the master's level. Until then, only daytime classes were permitted. Now, there will be an opportunity to study remotely in master's programs.
