The Cabinet of Ministers signed a resolution "On measures to organize and conduct the 'Teacher of the Year' and 'Professional Skills Leader' competitions among employees in the general secondary education sector."
According to the resolution, the "Teacher of the Year" and "Professional Skills Leader" competitions will be held every two years starting from 2026.
Candidates for the "Teacher of the Year" competition will participate in one subject they teach, while primary school teachers will participate in the primary education category. Participants will register through the ministry's special platform.
The competition will be held in three stages:
Based on the competition results, once every two years in October, each winning candidate will be awarded a QR-coded certificate, which will be maintained by the Ministry and posted on the Ministry's official website.
Based on this certificate, the winners will be awarded a cash prize equal to 1,400 times the basic calculation amount, funded through the redistribution of additional allocations to the Minister of Preschool and School Education's fund.
In the "Professional Skills Leader" competition among directors of pedagogical skills centers, the results of participants' activities in 4 areas will be evaluated.
These are: results achieved in improving the quality of education in the region, results achieved in ensuring financial stability, results achieved in organizing the educational process using modern methods, providing the Center with experienced personnel, and implementing modern management techniques.
The winners will be awarded a cash prize equal to 1,400 times the base calculation amount (525 million).
