One of the questions that interests many students is whether their study period counts towards their work experience. According to paragraph "e" of Article 37 of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On State Pension Provision for Citizens," certain stages of education are added to the length of service for full-time students.

Which periods of study are included in the work experience?

The following types of education are counted as work experience in pension calculations:

• Studying in higher education institutions;
• Master's degree programs and clinical residency;
• Trainee researcher programs;
• Senior research fellowship programs;
• Basic doctoral studies;
• Doctoral studies;
• Periods of study abroad.

For whom is the period of study included in the work experience?

   Only full-time students have the opportunity to count these years as work experience when they retire.

Why is this important?

    Including the study period in the work experience allows individuals to accumulate more years of service and potentially increase their pension amount upon reaching retirement age.
