The State Institute of Arts and Culture of Uzbekistan is a state-owned higher educational institution that operates in the field of professional education, is state accredited, and provides graduates with education at the bachelor's and master's levels.

The institute was established on the basis of the Tashkent State Institute of Culture and the State Art Institute of Uzbekistan in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PP-1771 of June 4, 2012.
The institute is a unique higher educational institution that trains specialists in a number of narrow specialties directly related to the field of culture and art.The educational process in the educational institution is carried out in a blend of science and art, creative activity and practical technologies. In the following 4 faculties and 21 departments of the institute, students study in Uzbek and Russian languages in 26 areas of education and 19 specialties.
Faculties:
The institute trains specialists in such fields as acting and directing, art history and theater studies, sound direction and cinematography, folk art, management of cultural and art institutions, library and information activities.
Today, more than 5,380 students are studying at the institute in bachelor's and master's programs. Today, out of 336 professors and teachers working at the institute, 52 are doctors of science, 93 are candidates of science, as well as more than 40 teachers who have been awarded honorary titles.

Students and faculty use the rich information and resource center of the institute. It contains more than 100,000 literature. The ARM Fund also holds rare publications related to the institute's professional activities. The institute is also working on creating electronic educational resources.
In addition, the educational building, the building of the institute administration, a sports complex, an indoor swimming pool, open sports grounds, and 2 sports facilities are located on the territory of the institute.

In recent years, the international relations of the State Institute of Arts and Culture of Uzbekistan have been developing dynamically. The institute has signed a number of memorandums, including universities in Turkey, Russia, Kyrgyzstan and South Korea. The exchange of professors, teachers and students has been established with these foreign universities.

People's artists of Uzbekistan D. Obidovna, M. Ismoilov, M. Kholikova, F. Zokirov, O. Otazhonov, N. Abdullaeva, M. Tukhtasinov, R. Sultanova, who make a significant contribution to the development of Uzbek art, and Honored Artists of Uzbekistan G. Our artists, such as Boytoyev and F. Salihova, graduated from the State Institute of Arts of Uzbekistan.
